Stacking rules
- Most states allow stacking the state rebate with the federal credit. A few (Colorado, Oregon) treat the federal credit as income that reduces your state rebate.
- Some states require the car to be purchased from an in-state dealer. Buying out of state can disqualify you.
- Used EV credits usually have tighter income caps and lower dollar amounts than new-car programs.
