# What Is The Hybri

> What Is The Hybri is a plain-English hybrid and electric car explainer site that helps shoppers compare hybrids, plug-in hybrids, mild hybrids, and battery EVs on range, fuel cost, charging, and real ownership tradeoffs.

## How this site handles numbers
- Every cost, incentive and efficiency figure traces to the publisher that produced it, and the pages carrying those figures list their sources visibly at the bottom.
- Efficiency figures (mpg, MPGe, electric range) come from the federal fuel economy program run by the U.S. Department of Energy and the EPA, not from manufacturer marketing.
- No single national fuel price is quoted. Cost pages are templates with the inputs shown, and uncertain figures are given as ranges pointing at the source.
- Incentive pages are written as rules plus eligibility gates, never as a promise that a given car qualifies, and are rechecked at least quarterly.
- Funding: no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid placement. The domain and hosting are paid for by the site's owner. Any change is disclosed on the standards page first.
- Not published here: road tests, driving impressions, star ratings, awards, or live inventory and pricing.
